Kieler Schloss in Kiel

Closed due to "Corona"! I haven't been there!

I always spent good evenings here between concerts and cabaret. The concert hall isn't exactly stunning, but appropriate for a city the size of Kiel. The ballroom of the castle also offers some space. We come to the elephant in the room. The "lock" is really not an eye catcher. The environment is slowly improving, but the designation "post-war building sin" would still be too gracious. An unadorned brick cube that could be mistaken for an unsightly office building. As an event center, however, wonderful.

We have already seen many beautiful events here. Always exciting to come up through the parking garage, almost historical ... The hall is beautiful and changeable. In Corona times, the silence that few people owe was missing.

A somewhat not so nice castle

Not recommendable anymore. Old and musty. Event prices no longer justified. Eaten seats, toilet a disaster .... wet feet and standing in the urine. Nööö .... not again!

First impression, the parking garage. Luckily I didn't come with my bus. Max height is 1.70m. Cheap, 3 € for the duration of the event. Cloakroom is very cheap at € 1.50. Drinks and Co. have normal prices. Acoustics were good in the hall. Unfortunately everything, but really everything (even the toilets) is getting on in years.

The castle is in need of renovation, but "George Michael" was great!

Long waiting times at the cloakroom and for drinks. Acoustics are good. The seating is pretty good, but also a bit old and could be renewed.

Unfortunately the seats are getting old, but otherwise I like it. Jackets should be handed in at the cloakroom according to the entrance ticket (€ 1.50). Wasn't done by many!

It is mandatory to hand in your jacket or winter coat ... !!! Despite a severe cold and flu days before ... so my explanation ...... I had to hand in my coat, otherwise I was not allowed in the concert hall

A nice place for trade fairs, theater and Co. The seats are a bit worn out but the atmosphere is right. Parking directly in the adjacent parking garage, cheap, possible. We will be back, but with a seat cushion!

A nice location for trade fairs and theater. I was at the ballet now and have to say that the chairs were pretty worn out. It felt like there was only fabric stretched over a hole and that wasn't very tight ... But otherwise everything was fine. There are enough toilets and a cloakroom.

Unfortunately, very old. The sanitary facilities urgently need to be renovated. The stage is also very small and the acoustics could be better.

Our daughter had a dance performance in the Kieler Schloss. We were here for the first time and were very overwhelmed by the beautiful rooms. We like to come again on other occasions.

Very pleasantly surprised bv this lovely small port with an exc ellent art gallery.

Great older theater, with cool seating. Only the toilets could be renovated.

Good acoustics and a view of the stage. Solid and good location in the city center and with parking in the underground garage. To reach by public transport.

I‘ve just left the venue. I was there for the concert of Katharine Mehrling. Although it was a nice event, attitude of the staff was disturbing. They forced us to leave our coats at the entrance and then they‘ve charged us for it. I couldn’t care less for the €1.50 I‘ve paid but I simply feel tricked. They take advantage of the people and abuse their tolerance to make a couple more tax-free euros. This time I‘ve kept it quiet because the show was about to start when I realized what was going on but if this happens again, for sure I will riot. I invite the good people of Kiel to do the same. This kind of attitude is simply nauseating and shouldn’t be taken lightly. p.s. just an idea: add the price for coat-handling + tax to the ticket and don’t charge people inside. how does it sound?
